The Glendale Mikuni Christian Church’s ground breaking in 1937 at 317 W. Palmer Ave

Our roots go back to 1921, when a Sunday school class was established in Glendale, California for children of Japanese immigrants. We were dedicated as Glendale Mikuni (“Kingdom of God”) Christian Church in our first building in 1938. After World War II the Church officially joined the Pacific Coast Japanese Free Methodist Conference. The name of our church was later changed to New Life Christian Church to better reflect who we are and who we want to be as a congregation. Selling our former property which was too small for our needs, we purchased and moved into a facility on beautiful Kenneth Road in Glendale in 2009. Our desire is to help people discover what it means to fall in love with God and nurture a deeper relationship with Him. We welcome all.
