A Day at the Kasetsu

Posted on Jul 02 , 2012 in Blog & Ongoing

Today we visited a kasetsu (temporary housing units) from 10 am to 3pm. Our team, along with the other teams from GMT, made spaghetti and cabbage salad for lunch. Afterwards we had craft time with some of the residents and staff at the kasetsu. More than 20 people decorated towels with colored fabric pens. We also had the opportunity to hand out care packages comprised of toiletries and scarves made by NLC2 women. The residents were very appreciative of the items, and commented on how useful the items will be in the near future. Our team enjoyed spending time with the residents. We were able to make some new friends that we hope to see at the festival on Saturday hosted by GMT.

More updates to come! J Tanaka

Below are some pictures that our team members took today at the kasetsu.
